The Maitri Initiative
One of our key initiatives, ‘Maitri’, was established to address the acute needs of children in Sisarma village. At present, we have 15 students attending Maitri and receive after-school education at the Maitri Learning Centre. They are guided by a dedicated teacher who provides academic support, helps with schoolwork, conducts engaging activities like games and storytelling sessions and ensures their overall well-being through nourishment, clothing and medical care.
The children come from Sisarma village, where most parents work as daily labourers or farmers. Some of the children come from single-parent households and many face significant challenges due to a lack of resources.
The children are not just gaining academic knowledge but also developing life skills through various recreational and learning activities, which play a crucial role in their holistic growth.

Success Story
We are very happy to share a proud moment from our Maitri After-School Program – both of the girls who gave their 10th Board Exams this year have passed!
Laxmi got a Second Division and Jaya got a First Division. This is a proud moment for our whole community.
About the Girls
Laxmi and Jaya come from simple families. Both their parents work as daily wage workers to support their homes. The girls joined our Maitri Program when they were in Class 9. Since then, they have shown great hard work and strong will to study and do well.
Their learning was supported by our dedicated teacher, Khushi Prajapat, who guided them with care and helped them through their studies.
This moment is even more special because only these two girls from our center gave the Board Exams this year – and both of them passed!
