Educate , Elevate & Empower

Education & Capacity Building

Empowering communities to grow and thrive starts with the power of education. Under this project ‘Maitri,’ young, orphaned, or neglected children are enrolled in government schools, under the guidance of a caretaker whose responsibility is to escort them to schools.

The students enter learning centres with a support system offered by subject teachers who help them with education, co-curricular activities and overall development through interactive games, sports and activities. MA ensures that each one of them receives all the necessities required to grow including nourishment, school uniforms, study material, and medical care.

MA simultaneously supports government schools in villages by running programmes that help them recruit teachers for senior classes as well as organising Science & Math tutorial classes for the senior students. An 8 month course in English is conducted in government schools on a continuous basis which has helped thousands of students.

This project was born due to acute need in village Sisaume. Young orphaned or neglected children were enrolled in ‘Maitri’. Twelve children have been admitted in a government school, a caretaker escorts them there. Thereafter they go to the Learning Centre where a teacher helps them with their studies and engages them in board games, puzzles and story sessions. They are provided with nourishment, school clothes and supplies and medical care.

Support to Government Schools in villages

A volunteer shared a story in Mewari, the local dialect, about independence. Strengthening Skills, Processes & Resources

MA Foundation enhances the knowledge, talents, procedures, and resources that enable communities to endure, adapt, and prosper in a world that is undergoing rapid change. We organise several programmes, activities and vocational courses to support upskill and enhance designing, manufacturing and entrepreneurship spirits among the marginalised communities.

Under the initiative, various workshops are being held in villages that train women to create lifestyle products that are sold in the market, resulting in an improvement in their livelihood and helping them earn regular income overtime. Several organisations have partnered to support our mission in bringing holistic development.

The novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vast differences between our lives and the lives of migrant workers and the underprivileged. Due to COVID-19, classroom education is accessible only through the internet and smartphones and many students who do not own such phones are unable to access their online classes. Our mission through this program is to help underprivileged children access their basic Right to Education by donating our old smartphones across the country. This program has helped 250 students with smartphones and tablets.
